Open Art Studios: Felt Family Tree

This supervised arts & crafts session allows all ages to use their imaginations and our materials. Featured craft is a felt family tree that is designed to show how grateful we are for our families.

An exhibition in collaboration with the Smithsonian and Harvard featuring astrophotography by local middle school students and original works of art on loan from the T.L. Norris Gallery by famed NASA Illustrator Renato Moncini, also known as the First Artist of Space.

The Greenville County Human Relations Commission and the Children’s Museum of the Upstate are offering a new pilot program for qualified families. Along with an annual membership to the Children’s Museum, it includes 5 program sessions with financial education workshops for adults and age appropriate financial literacy education for young children. Each session includes hands-on learning allowing parents and children to work together and separately. A certificate of completion for Credit Smart will be issued which is a qualification for some match savings and down payment assistance programs. This very ooey, gooey, sticky, icky day for homeschool families begins with our visitors meeting the hilarious Dr. Gross as he introduces students to the Impolite Science of the Human Body. Girl Scout Overnight & Breakfast

Girl Scouts (Brownies & Juniors) are invited to spend the night at TCMU. Have your child or the entire troop earn their First Aid badge after enjoying a “Night at the Museum.” Overnights include after-hours admission, full museum exploration, badge workshop and badge, and breakfast.
