Road Trip to Atlanta-The Activities

Legoland Atlanta

August 22, 2012

Our first day we visited Legoland Discovery Center. Situated across the street from our hotel, The Ritz Carlton Buckhead, it was very convenient to get to and from Legoland in no time at all. Legoland is located in Phipps Plaza, essentially on the third floor of a shopping center. We arrived just around opening on Saturday morning and spent about 3 hours immersed in Lego bricks! Literally!

Our children are 4 and 2 and they equally had a great time. There is something for everyone. My husband and I found ourselves split-up between each kid most of the time because my 4 year old liked the car building section where you can test your masterpiece out right on its very own track.

While my 2 year old enjoyed the pools of Duplo bricks. In fact, I think one of these is in order for our play room.

It provided endless hours of fun for her. They also have a little section in the cafe area for toddlers with giant soft bricks for them to play with.

Besides for all of the Lego buidling,

Lane also enjoyed the Lego Construction site, a soft play area perfect for budding buidlers! Note: socks required for this attraction.

Kingdom Quest, a ride even Daddy's can enjoy:

MiniLand (one of his favorites), made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO® bricks, with moving airships, trains and cranes. A replica of the CNN building with working TV's with different camera angles, a concert in the park, a football stadium and baseball park and much more! We made a stop at MiniLand more than once.

Legoland also has private rooms where they hold Master building classes, birthday parties or special occasion celebrations, in addition to all of the fun you read about above. It is recommended to purchase tickets online before you visit. It's quick and easy, will save you a few dollars and give you priority entrance.

Legoland compensated tickets for our family for the day for the purpose of this review.
