We are always looking for a new movie or series to watch and when I say we, I also mean my 3 kids. When we were offered the chance to review the series Dinotrux, I jumped at the chance. It wasn't hard because my kids had already been watching it. Season 3 came out on October 7th with the expansion of the Dinotrux’s world. Season 3 includes new, larger-than-life adventures and even more lovable characters to discover. Dinotrux definitely appeals to the masses in our house. We have 2 boys and a girl, ages 2-8, who watch it regularly. It really combines my youngest son's favorite things, trucks AND dinosaurs! The characters are modeled after real dinosaurs and real trucks, and animated with remarkable detail.
I bet you didn't know (because I just learned this myself), that Dinotrux is an Emmy® Award winning original series and inspired by the award-winning books by Chris Gall. This series is built for the adventure-loving kid, Dinotrux tells relatable, heartfelt stories about building friendships, working together, and overcoming challenges. There is nothing to complain about that!
I love that Dinotrux help my kids see that friends come in all shapes, sizes, and herds. It's founded on a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation that they can mirror at home and in school and the Dinotrux characters often encounter obstacles that involve creative problem-solving. With all of the things that kids could be watching these days that, more times than not, don't fit a "family-friendly" checklist, I can say with confidence that Dinotrux is not one of them. This show is perfect for a wide range of ages, both boys and girls, and gets a parent seal of approval.
To get you and your kids excited about Dinotrux and to go beyond just watching the series on Netflix, I have some Dinotrux books to giveaway! To enter, leave a comment at the end of this article. Winner will be chosen and announced on 11/23. I have 3 sets of Dinotrux books to giveaway, so 3 lucky readers will win a set of Dinotrux books.
I was given compensation for this review, but all opinions are my own.
