Japanese New Year Festival

Sunday, January 16, 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Celebrate the new year with Japanese food, traditions, music, & games! Admission is free.

Activities will include ema making, omikuji fortunes, the game of fukuwarai, origami, kakizome calligraphy, & Japanese yoyo (the game of yoyo tsuri).

Performances will include the traditional flower hat dance Hanagasa Ondo, a demonstration by the Kazoku Karate School, a shibori demonstration with Indigo Roots Textiles, & Okinawan Folk Songs with sanshin & singing.

Lastly, delicious Japanese food will be served by Heiwa Shokudo!
