Stained Glass Fun!

Stephanie Clunn

April 4, 2012

Stained glass is beautiful, we'd all agree, so here is a fun and easy stained glass craft that can be used for any holiday! We used the idea for Easter this year (though I also see some fun Fall and Winter uses as well!) Little ones love the sticky laminate paper and the tactile excercise of placing tissue squares on the sticky paper.  Little Easter bunnies will likely need a steady helping hand for this craft, but the result is totally worth it, as you can see!

What You'll Need:

Contact or Laminate Paper (we used laminate)

Variety of colored Tissue Paper

Scissors

Tape

Marker

Ruler

Directions:

Cut out a bunch of tissue paper squares in a variety of colors.

Peel open your laminate paper and place in front of child.

Let them place different colored squares all over laminate paper being sure to cover all areas.

Place second sheet of laminate paper on top being careful about wrinkles.

Using a marker and ruler (both optional) cut out shapes like Crosses or Easter Eggs!

Tape on windows that get good light. (you can also hole punch them, string yarn through and hang outside!)

Enjoy!
