Since I basically run my life and household from the comfort of my iPhone (don't we all!), I was thrilled to learn that I could now monitor my home-security system from it as well.
The Piper nv system is a security camera that comes with the ability to send me push, text, email, and call notifications. There's no monthly monitoring fee which means no throwing away your money every month. The system will notify you through your phone in the event that an alarm is triggered. The Piper nv plugs into the wall and comes equipped with battery backup to make sure we're covered in the event of a power outage.
With our previous system, we were never able to use the motion detection feature when we were home, asleep in the evening because our dog would set-off the alarm. Piper has the technological ability to identify pets (decreasing chances of false alarms).
When my Piper arrived in the mail, I immediately got started setting it up and set-up was easier than figuring out my wireless password. :-) Within a few minutes, I had the free app downloaded and I was watching live feed of my home on my smartphone.

It's pretty impressive that such a tiny security system can pack this big of a punch AND it's really affordable too. We can definitely rest assured knowing that everything happening at our home can be monitored and seen from the screen of our phones-not only security-wise but also temperature, sound, light, and humidity reports.
